Supervisor's Messages
Farewell Message |
Dear Students,
Trinitians, Teachers and Parents,
1111111111111111111111 September, 2007 . When I write this letter, my heart is full of joy and my mind is filled with fond memories as I recall the time I spent with you, dear Trinitians, at the tender years of your age. It has been a great priviledge for me to work with young people, and in so doing, I am able to always keep myself young at heart. What a great blessing! At the early stage of our school, we worked very hard in order to lay a good foundation for the institution. Beyond doubt, Sr. Rose Mary, our foundress, did a wonderful job. Soon we were recognized for the quality education we provide and our Trinitians become to be known for their proficiency in English language and their ability at work. They begin to outshine their colleagues at work because of the learning they have received from their early formation years at Holy Trinity College. Our graduates have, therefore, enjoyed better career opportunities than most young people. We are really very gratified for the efforts, dear Trinitians, that you have made all these year. You really have helped to spread the name of Holy Trinity College far and wide, and we are proud of you! The school is also privileged to have a team of devoted teachers. Their dedication to teaching is apparent in the achievements of their students. We are also fortunate to have a group of very hardworking clerical and menial staff. Under the leadership of the current principal, Mrs. Jane Or, their hard work and their great commitment have helped to elevate Holy Trinity College to a ranking among the top schools in Hong Kong. They truly deserve our heartfelt applause! We are happy that our school is named after the Holy Trinity. We aim at imitating the loving relationship of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, so that campus life is constantly filled with joy and harmony. May this caring atmosphere have a nurturing force which encourages and strengthens you at times of hardship, and may it retain in you in the days to come, sweet memories of your youth. Whenever I close my eyes, I・ll see young ladies in white sailor-collared uniform with smiling faces, engaging themselves busily in one activity or another. What an enchanting sight! Jesus said, :I have come to give you life, to give you abundant life; (John 10:10). How much do I wish that all of you would be able to share in this rich and abundant life that Jesus promised us if we would only give ourselves a chance to know God, and to find out the secrets of laying our treasures in Heaven. You have received a very good education in Holy Trinity College, and may have found the road to success and happiness. But the joy you feel today is only a shadow of the joy God has in store for you, if you would get to know Him better. You will be amazed how your life will be transformed if you would welcome God into your life. You will be surprised at how very differently you will look at the world. Therefore give yourself a chance if you still have not known Him personally yet! I am very indebted to the parents of our students who have entrusted us with the mission of educating their children. My colleagues and I have tried our utmost to provide quality education for our students. The hardest part of my service in Holy Trinity College is a long period of fruitless negotiations and meetings with different government departments for a new standard campus with more facilities. However, I am very grateful that our effort in applying for the School Improvement Programme (final phase) was approved, and funds granted just in time before the Government of the HKSAR declared deficiency of funds. We are fortunate enough to be among the last batch of schools to finish such a large building project! I can still remember the three years of gloomy days without major activities in the school campus for lack of a hall as we waited anxiously for the construction of the new annex. I am happy to see the new Annex proudly come into existence in 2005. To crown my joy, with the full support from our Parent Teacher Association and Past Students・ Association, our Fund-Raising Committee, with Miss Catherine Cheung as Chairperson, was able to attain our target in time to furnish the new Annex! My greatest satisfaction comes from the realization that it is in full use. It now provides us with extra rooms, more space and better facilities to enhance teaching and learning, as well as the catering of various functions, which would otherwise be impossible. Teachers・ and students・ needs are fully met, and students・ abilities are further stretched with the addition of this beautiful Annex. My appreciation and thanks go to all of you, whose generous support is unceasing. Dear students of Holy Trinity College, secondary school is the golden time of a person as it is the happiest time in most people・s life. Take time to enjoy every facet of school life now by taking an active part in all you do. Treasure the friendship you have here, as your friends will be your life-long companions. Soon you will find yourself at the threshold of the school and have to bid your alma mater farewell. Time and tide wait for no man. Try to live each day to the full, and make each day the best day of your life! I am very grateful to our Parent Teacher Association and Past Students・ Association. Under the leadership of Mr. Lee Siu Ming and Mrs. Eva Lui, they have given our school full support in all our activities, and have provided many resources for the all round development of our students. They have, indeed, become very good partners of ours. To them, I can always count on their unfailing support. Please accept my humble gratitude! I have been working in Holy Trinity College for so long that I have been built into every brick and fabric of the school, as well as woven into the lives of every one of you. After I have formally retired, I may be far away, but you may be sure that my thoughts and prayers will always be with you. Physically we may be far apart, but fond memories can always bring us very close to each other. May the Good Lord bless and keep you and your Family safe till we meet again! |
With love from 11111

Juliana's Easter Greetings to Trinitians and Parents

Spirit of the Holy Trinity
The name of our school reminds me of the three Persons in God: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. The Father loves us very much. Long before we were born, He sent us many gifts of love: sunshine and blue sky, the moon and the stars, and the beautiful landscape. In order to provide us with food, He gave us fruits and vegetables, fowls and animals, as well as fishes. He provided us with a rich and beautiful environment so as to make us happy. Unfortunately, due to selfishness and greed, men have polluted the earth, making it unfit to live in.
The Father loved the world so much that He sent His only Son to the world to tell us about the Father, and the way we should live to show our love for Him. The Son told us many things about the Kingdom of Heaven. The surest way to get there is by our love for our neighbour and for the Father. In the end, the Son died for us in order that we may enter Heaven to see the Father one day when we leave the world.
Before Jesus left us, He promised that He would be with us daily until the end of the world. After He ascended into Heaven, He sent us His Holy Spirit, to teach us how to love the Father, and to love each other, and how to pray. The mutual love and concern for each other, the unity and harmony, the peace and joy in the Trinity set a good model for family and community life. This family spirit is the ideal target for a community. Since our school is named after the Trinity, all of us, Trinitians, should work hard to reflect this family spirit in our campus life as well as in our family life, so that we shall always live in harmony and unity, and enjoy a campus life that is full of joy and laughter.
Traditionally, the family is the cradle of love where children grow up in security and harmony. However, the family in the modern world is most frequently challenged and threatened with disintegration. Instead of providing a warm home to nurture our younger generation, often the family has become a place of violence, fear and cruelty. Why? It is because many people have wrong concepts of the family. After working hard the whole day in the office to be "gentlemen-like" and "lady-like", some people may think that they can afford to turn rough when they get home. Disregarding the feelings of their family members, they show the weaker side of humanity. In some families, children daily witness heated quarrels and violent fighting of their parents. They tolerate fear and insecurity. They dread the worst to happen to their fate!
As science and technology advance with time, mockingly, people's happiness diminishes. It is now time that we should wake up from our follies. If we really love our family, we should give the best of ourselves, our time and our love. A public figure once interviewed by a DJ said, "I love to talk to children very much. So in the evening I usually stay home with my family, to talk to my children, to attend to their needs." Once a Trinitian told me, "Evening is an important time for me, as it is Family time. I decline all social functions in order to stay home with my husband. He comes home after work dead tired, yet he would like to listen to the children sitting around the table, telling him their adventures of the day." What a happy family!
Indeed, the best thing we can give our family is not money
nor material comfort, but the presence of ourselves and our genuine love.
Let us pray to the Holy Trinity that we may imitate Them so that our family
and school may be filled with love and concern, joy and unity, harmony and
laughter.
