Mathematics
The learning objectives of the NSS curriculum foster students’ understanding of the development of mathematical knowledge and skills and their applications in the solutions of various problems, including real-life ones. In order to ensure smooth transition from junior to senior curriculum, students are always encouraged to take responsibility for their own learning. Thus open-ended questions can be used to promote their interest and opportunities are provided to solve real-life problems since Form 1. Examinations will always consist of a certain proportion of previous knowledge learnt so as to help students make connections among different pieces of knowledge. We also extend students’ mathematics learning experience and enhance their inquiry and investigation skills by individual project learning in Form 2
